The Chimney Rock Archaeological Area is now open to the public for its 2012 season. There will be a very special Annular Eclipse and Night Sky Archaeoastronomy Program on Sunday, May 20, 2012.

The San Juan Conservation District is taking orders for seedling trees and shrubs to be planted expecially for conservation planting, shelter belts, reforestation and wildlife habitat enhancement.
Landowners can obtain a seedling order form from the San Juan Conservation District located at 505A Piedra Road or the CSU Cooperative Extension Service at the Archuleta County Fair Building. Orders will be taken through March 22, 2012. For more information call: 970-731-3615.
